Originally from the most isolated city in the world, Perth, Western Australia, Jessica graduated from the West Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) with an Advanced Diploma of Contemporary Music and a Bachelor of Musical Theatre in 2018. In her final year of study, she won the Julie Michael Cabaret Award with her self-devised piece, Golden Age Girls which went on to win the Best WA Cabaret Award the following year at the Perth International Fringe Festival (the third largest Fringe Festival in the world). Later that year, she performed in the musical MIMMA, supporting Mirusia Louwerse (Andre Rieu’s Angel of Australia) as well as in The Selfish Giant – a world premier by the Victorian Opera (Helpman Award winner).
In 2020, Jessica received a scholarship to study with Opera Scholars Australia, learning under industry professionals including Margot Cory-Wall OAM, Graeme Wall OAM, Tiffany Speight and Yvonne Kenny AM. She was a soloist in the company’s spring performance directed by Cameron Menzies (Artistic Director of the Northern Ireland Opera).
2021 saw Jessica begin her Graduate Diploma of Classical Performance (Opera) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music working under Donna Balson (previous manager of the Opera Australia Young Artist Program and artist with the Metropolitan Opera).
In 2021 Jessica joined the cast of ‘Bluey The Live Experience’ as female host, and looks forward to headlining The Darwin Waterfront New Years Eve Festival alongside the Veronicas and Amy Shark to bring in 2022.
