The Audience Update

Today we’re announcing user-accounts for audience sign-in! This is step one towards additional ticket security and audience integration in big and exciting ways.

What does it mean?

The next time you purchase a ticket to a show on Side Door you’ll be asked to create a user account (unless you already have an artist or host profile with us). You can create your account by logging in with Facebook, Twitter, Google or by entering an email and password.

If the show you’ve purchased tickets to is live or going live within 30 minutes, you can stay on that page for your link! If the show you purchased tickets to is more than 30 minutes in the future, check your email for the show link OR navigate to the specific show page from sidedooraccess.com/shows to click the link that appears on the page. The creators of the show can also display a message for their guests that will appear directly on this show page, as well in email communications. This means you get into the show, without needing to find an email. The page where you bought the ticket will be exactly where you can get into the show when you're logged in.

What’s Next?

In the near future audience members will need to log into their account to attend any online shows. This will provide even better ticket security for audiences and artists. You’ll also be able to keep track of all the Side Door shows you attend, easily purchase and distribute tickets for others, and of course share the shows you’re attending.

As we continue to listen to our community for their needs and wants, we encourage you to fill out this quick survey about audience accounts. How do you want to interact with artists, hosts and other audience members? What ideas would you like to share?
