The vision for Side Door Access Inc. (Side Door) is to promote a closer connection between people and art in their communities.
It is our mission to provide Artists with a sustainable revenue stream, directly connect Hosts with talent, and give audiences access to memorable live performances.

Side Door exists to facilitate meaningful experiences in alternative spaces, and recognizes that historically mainstream traditional live performance outlets, spaces, and experiences can be and have been isolating and oppressive to many; including but not limited to marginalized groups, survivors of sexual assault, people with disabilities, and people with substance use disorder.

Side Door encourages participants to promote and maintain a positive and equitable atmosphere in which shows occur, and demands that all shows and events take place in a supportive, non-threatening environment. Side Door expects all attendees, performers, hosts, staff, and service providers to act with respect for equity and inclusivity.

Side Door has zero tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, ageism, and various forms of systemic oppression (patriarchy, white supremacy, homophobia, colonialism, and transphobia).

People who have perpetrated interpersonal violence, assault, and/or harassment are not welcome at Side Door shows unless they are actively engaged in a process of accountability and currently in compliance with all the terms of that process.

Please contact support@sidedooraccess.com if you would like to share your experience at a recent Side Door show.
